Ad Operation & Traffic Manager

The Ad Operations & Traffic Manager based in our Oakland, CA office is responsible for providing day-to-day support and service to Pheedo's suite of advertiser and ad agency clients. This individual will manage and execute all campaign and inventory optimizations and will work closely with our ad sales team and clients on all facets of the advertising campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and traffic advertising campaigns with attention to client expectations and deadlines from insertion order through post campaign reporting
  • Ensure all media requests, insertion orders, campaigns, creative materials, and ad functionality adhere to Pheedo and industry standards
  • Trafficking and uploading ad tags, media links, and custom creative?s (Rich Media, Banners/Display ads, Internal Redirects, Deep Linking, Custom Placements, etc.)
  • Coordinate, set up and test creatives and campaigns to make sure they start on time while providing quality assurance
  • Daily monitoring of campaigns using 3rd party tracking including DART, Atlas, MediaPlex, etc. to make sure each delivers in full and provide suggestions for optimization of campaign results, revenues, and inventory management
  • Project management of custom implementations between sales and tech teams, and client
  • Manage and optimize remnant inventory and 3rd party ad networks
  • Proactively investigate and trouble shoot issues (delivery discrepancies, billing disputes, technical issues, etc.) and provide solutions
  • Create and manage campaign, inventory, yield management and revenue reports for ad sales team, finance, and management
  • Create and analyze post-campaign reports for clients
  • Create campaign billing reports and verify performance and revenue with the sales team and accounting to invoice clients and 3rd party vendors
  • Research emerging digital ad products and provide recommendations to management

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience with ad servers in online advertising and/or ad trafficking
  • Must be proficient using DART, MediaPlex, Atlas and other 3rd party tracking systems
  • Extensive knowledge of ad metrics including; CPM, CPC, CPA, CTR, ROI
  • Proven ability to analyze and optimize campaigns to maximize ROI
  • Knowledge of ad exchanges, ad servers, and optimization platforms a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
  • Startup experience a plus. Must have easy-going personality, a great work ethic and team player attitude. Viewing emails and being available on the weekend/off hours may be required when time is critical for campaign delivery and optimization.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of MS office programs and Snag-it and/or Photoshop
  • Experience with HTML, Flash, JavaScript and other ad tagging codes/scripts

Account Manager - Search Feed Products

To fuel our tremendous growth, we are looking for an experienced account manager for our search feed products. You will be responsible for managing Pheedo's premium PPC ad inventory (accessible via XML feeds). You will report to the Director of Publisher Relations and Client Services, with a dotted-line relationship to executives within the company.

Summary

Fully manage the internal and external execution of our search feed product. Responsible for search feed yield optimization and revenue analysis for the Pheedo network. Serve as a primary point of contact for our search feed partners, scheduling of A/B tests on ad units/placements and search feed monetization strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Own reporting and analysis of search feed traffic, revenue, and product performance using both internal and external data.
  • Master understanding of business rules and logic for displaying search feed listings in RSS feeds; Responsible for ongoing analysis of business rules and strategy for optimizing revenue.
  • Stay on top of trends in search advertising and in search product development.
  • Manage cross-functional projects for enhancements and product releases. Own product modeling (testing, analysis), writing business cases and product requirements documents, and prioritizing project list and product release schedule
  • Manage relationship with 3rd party search feed listings provider, analyzing metrics and recommending methods for relevance and revenue enhancements. Manage process of recruiting new search feed partners. Understand performance implications on scores, recommending tests and modifications to help enhance scores.
  • Serve as team contact with Finance for revenue forecasting and yield analysis. Stay on top of traffic and revenue trends for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to finance.

Required Experience

  • 2-3 years experience with pay per click advertising & search engine marketing, with emphasis on analytics
  • Web savvy individual with a good understanding of PPC feed syndication, search marketing and a thorough working knowledge of feed management
  • This position requires hands-on experience analyzing website and other data to drive tactical marketing decision making.
  • Highly comfortable with Google Adwords, Nami Media, Yahoo Search Marketing, and MSN AdCenter
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Strong familiarity with advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strength in developing, delivering and analyzing top level and detailed metric reports and analyses that provide meaningful insight and that can be easily digested by the entire organization
  • Experience interacting and communicating with engineering, sales and finance.
  • Strong math skills and comfort level with data manipulation and analysis a must

Online Advertising Sales Executive

Pheedo seeks an experienced, self-starting online advertising sales executive to join its team in the San Francisco Bay Area where you'll work with one of the fastest growing online ad mediums. The sales executive's objective is to develop relationships with ad agencies and media buyers.

Responsibilities

  • 3-5 years media experience with 2+ years experience in Internet Advertising Account Management and/or Sales.
  • Established relationships at agencies and direct accounts are a must
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and comfortable presenting written proposals
  • Strong organizational skills, proven ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to following through to completion
  • Extremely proactive
  • Familiarity with blogs and RSS a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a startup environment is critical
  • Bachelors degree or higher
This position reports directly to the VP of Sales.

Requirements

  • Cultivate positive business relationships with media planners and buyers at ad agencies and with direct marketers
  • Actively manage multiple advertiser client accounts
  • Analyze campaign performance data and identify strategies for improving campaign performance
  • Proactively contact advertiser clients regarding campaign performance and optimization strategies
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Team on proposals to clients, leveraging experience from previous campaigns
